Durham police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured an 18-month-old boy Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to Great Bend Drive shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday where they found the injured boy inside the house. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening at this time, according to police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
Witnesses told officers that numerous shots were fired by occupants of a dark-colored sedan.
No arrests have been made.
