Quarterly income falls at First Citizens
First Citizens BancShares has reported fourth quarter income of $42.7 million, down from $62.9 in the same quarter of 2014. Per-share income was $3.56, down from $5.24. For the year ended Dec. 31, net income was $210.4 million, or $17.52 cents a share, up from $138.6 million the year before.
KS Bancorp earnings up
Smithfield-based KS Bancorp has reported fourth quarter net income of $417,000, or 32 cents share, up slightly from the $404,000 earned in the fourth quarter of 2014.
“In 2015, the company experienced solid, steady growth,” said Harold Keen, president and chief executive. “We are pleased to report continued growth in the balance sheet, net income, and value of the Company. We are extremely pleased with the 42.5% increase in annual per share earnings.”
