A rental truck driven by a 16-year-old girl jumped a parking-lot curb and smashed into an Extended Stay America hotel at 600 Weston Parkway on Wednesday morning, officials said.
No injuries were reported, but firefighters and building inspectors said the structure would need to be braced before the U-Haul truck could be pulled out.
Officials were sorting out details, but they said it appeared that the girl and her mother were staying at the hotel and had a spat, after which the girl went for a drive in the truck to cool off.
When the girl was bringing the truck back to the parking lot about 6:30 a.m., it jumped a curb and went into the hotel, they said.
