Wake County sheriff's deputies apprehended at least one man Thursday afternoon following a car chase that ended at Olive Chapel Elementary School in Apex.
Capt. Jimmy Stevens, spokesman for the sheriff's office, said the chase started about six miles away, on Braeside Court in Cary, around 2:15 p.m. "as a result of an ongoing drug investigation."
Stevens said charges are still pending and that the suspect's name won't be released before charges are announced.
Stevens said the man was taken down by a K9 deputy and received treatment for some minor injuries from that. Other, he said, there were no injuries or property damage as a result of the chase.
