An unidentified man was struck by a small SUV and killed Friday morning on N.C. 96 near Wake Forest, authorities said.
The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and standing in the roadway on N.C. 96 near Old Pearce Road at the time of the accident around 6:30 a.m., according to the state Highway Patrol. The victim had no identification.
The man was struck by a Nissan Murano, according to the Highway Patrol, which did not release the driver’s name. No charges will be filed, the release said.
Investigators were trying Friday to identify the pedestrian killed. He was described only as Hispanic.
