Motorcyclist killed in Southeast Raleigh crash

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon when a truck turned into her path and the two vehicles collided on Rock Quarry Road.

Pamela Melody Butler, 32, was driving a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Rock Quarry Road when Belsazar Toledo-Garcia, 38, turned his northbound 2001 Ford truck left into the flea market at 1436 Rock Quarry Road, according to Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue.

Butler was pronounced dead at the scene. Toledo-Garcia was not injured, Sughrue said in a news release late Wednesday.

Toledo-Garcia was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving without a license and unsafe movement. He was detained Wednesday at the Wake County Detention Center.
