A Raleigh man's family is worried because they have not heard from him since early September, and police are asking the public's help in finding him.

Clifford Anthony Martin is 52 and works as a painter and carpenter, police said. He is black and was described as being about 6-foot-3 and weighing about 240 pounds.

Police said they have no reason to suspect foul play, but being out of touch for a long period is unusual for Martin, and they want to verify that he is well.

Martin was last known to be in the 800 block of Colleton Road, police said. However, a vehicle that he is known to drive was found in the 2600 block of Appliance Court, they said, and he may have been in that area last.

Police asked people who know where Martin is or think they have seen him in the past six weeks to call the department’s Tip Line, 919-834-HELP (4357).
