A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Morrisville on Tuesday.
The man, who had not been identified as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, was struck by a train near 10405 Chapel Hill Road. The incident was reported at about 3:45 p.m., according to a news release from the town.
No other injuries were reported and traffic in the area was not affected.
The incident is under investigation and no additional details were immediately available.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation reported that Train 74 would be delayed Cary to Raleigh during an investigation. A delay of about 2 hours was expected.
