Motorcycle driver killed in Raleigh wreck

A 57-year-old motorcycle driver was killed in a wreck on Seabrook Road in Raleigh on Tuesday evening.

Raleigh officers were responded to the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and a sedan at the intersection of Seabrook Road and Newark Drive at 5:08 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found David Wayne Dunn, the driver of the motorcycle, unresponsive. Mario Alberto Herrera Mendoza, 23, the driver of the sedan (its only occupant) was not injured.

Circumstances leading to the crash had not been determined as of about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, but an investigation was under way.

Seabrook Road was closed between Sylvester Street and Cross Link Road. Drivers were asked to find alternate routes.

No other information was immediately available.
