The City of Oaks is one of the best state capitals to live in, according to a recent study.

Raleigh was No. 6 in a list of top 20 state capitals to live in, according to personal finance website WalletHub’s study.

In order to determine which state capitals make the best homes, WalletHub compared all 50 across 51 categories, including affordability, economic strength, quality of education and health, and overall living standards.

The data set ranges from the cost of living to the quality of the K-12 school-system to the number of attractions.

Raleigh ranked No. 4 in affordability, No. 10 in economic well-being, No. 16 in quality of education and health, and No. 23 in overall quality of life.

Raleigh was No. 5 in highest median household income adjusted for cost of living and No. 3 for highest percentage of adults with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Raleigh was also No. 3 for lowest premature-death rate.
