Woman found dead in her car in Southeast Raleigh shopping center

Police said a 65-year-old woman was found dead inside her car in the parking lot of a Southeast Raleigh shopping center Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators think the woman, whose name was not made public, may have “succumbed to medically related factors,” said police spokesman Jim Sughrue.

The woman was found just before 3:20 p.m. at 1601 Crosslink Road, Sughrue said. Police did not release her name.

Detectives were still at the shopping center collecting evidence early Wednesday night, Sughrue said.
