Two people were killed Saturday night when a train hit a car on the tracks at a rail crossing.
The driver of the Toyota Camry made a wrong turn and got stuck on the tracks at Morrisville-Carpenter Road and Chapel Hill Road at about 8 p.m., according to a news release from the town. The car was hit by a westbound freight train.
The victims were identified as William L. Flint, 86, and Dorothy L. Flint, 83, of Cary, according to a news release from the town.
