A fire that damaged one unit in a six-apartment building at 429 Montague Lane early Wednesday was set, fire investigators said.
They said the case had been turned over to police and declined to disclose any details about how the fire was set or how they made that determination.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call at 2:16 a.m., and the first ones to arrive saw smoke and flames in a window on the second floor of the two-story building, officials said.
No one was hurt in the fire.
