Police on Friday were looking into the death of a 2-year-old boy at a home on Somerset Mill Lane, off Fox Road in northeast Raleigh.
A spokesman said the boy had been taken from the house to a hospital about 2 p.m. Thursday, but died there.
A woman who called 911 said the boy had no pulse. “It’s like he just passed out,” said the woman, whose name was not released. Later in the call, a man reports that it appeared the boy was not breathing, according to a recording released by police Friday.
The spokesman noted that police investigate all deaths when the cause is not immediately apparent. Detectives had not determined that anything criminal was involved, he said.
