Wake County sheriff's deputies and Holly Springs and Raleigh police have charged a 41-year-old woman with stealing two people's identities, trafficking in stolen identities and being in a stolen truck when she was arrested Friday.
Deborah Rose McFadden of 2801 Crystal Oaks Lane was arrested by Raleigh police, who charged her with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
In warrants issued earlier Friday, deputies charged McFadden with using another woman’s name, birth date and Social Security number to open accounts with banks and stores and then transferring that information and a second woman’s to someone else.
In a warrant issued Thursday, Holly Springs police accused McFadden of using the second woman’s name, birth date and Social Security number to apply for car loans, business licenses and store credit cards.
McFadden also faced two counts of conspiracy, a charge of passing a bad check and a warrant seeking her extradition on charges in another state.
Authorities held McFadden in lieu of $248,000 bail for a court appearance Monday.
