A Raleigh woman and a man from Scotland Neck were accused of heroin trafficking after Zebulon police stopped them Friday night and found what officers said was 200 bags of the drug.
Tony Andre Williams, 30, of 54 Mayfly Lane in Scotland Neck and Nija Moja-Marie Headley, 26, of 1424 Crabtree Blvd. in Raleigh, were arrested about 9 p.m. Friday at North Arendell and West Gannon avenues, according to booking reports.
In arrest warrants, police specified only that the contents of the 200 bags comprised at least 28 grams of heroin, which is the threshold for the most-serious level of trafficking under state law.
Williams and Headley were also charged with conspiring with each other to traffick in heroin.
Each was being held on $1 million bail and was scheduled to be in court Monday.
