A Harnett County man awaiting trial on 11 criminal charges faces new charges of promoting two girls, 17 and 15, for prostitution.
Raleigh investigators on Friday charged John Cecil McMillan Jr., 24, of 21 Hart Circle in Cameron with two felony counts of promoting prostitution of a minor, according to arrest warrants filed at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.
The offenses occurred Oct. 17-18, court records show.
McMillan was out of jail on bail for nearly a dozen charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, communicating threats, possession of stolen goods, possession of a stolen firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, court records show.
McMillan was in custody at the Wake County jail Saturday in lieu of an $80,000 bail, court records show.
