Child found in suspected meth lab in Selma

Investigators found an 8-year-old girl Wednesday in a home suspected to be a meth lab.

Members of the narcotics division of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office were executing a search warrant at 153 Thistle Drive when they discovered the lab, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Tammy Amaon.

The sheriff’s office arrested Leslie Elwood House Jr., Jennifer Renee Wyand and Van Buren Killette Jr. in relation to the suspected meth lab. The child present was the daughter of Wyand and Killette, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Department of Social Services intervened, and the State Bureau of Investigation was called in to examine the home.
