Police on Wednesday night charged a Wake County man with soliciting a 15-year-old boy by computer to meet him for sexual activity and with taking indecent liberties with a child.
Richard Michael Wiley, 47, of 3201 Byers Drive, which carries a Raleigh address and is north of Wade Avenue near the Interstate 40 merge, was charged by detectives after he came to the department’s station on West Cabarrus Street downtown.
According to an arrest warrant, police believe Wiley solicited the youth between May 11 and Nov. 23 and committed a “lewd and lacivious” act.
Wiley posted a bond to cover bail of $200,000 and was freed.
