A man accused of selling cocaine to an undercover officer almost two years ago was arrested Wednesday when Wake County sheriff's investigators stopped him on a road in the northeastern part of the county.
Silvestre Rogel Gandarilla, who is now 28, was taken into custody on the basis of arrest warrants charging him with eight counts of trafficking in cocaine, two counts of possessing cocaine and intending to sell it, two counts of selling it and two counts of delivering it.
The warrants charge that Gandarilla, who lives at 2521 Barrington Drive, sold cocaine to an undercover officer four times in February and March 2013.
The sheriff’s office said the sales they accused Gandarilla of making were part of a long-term drug investigation that investigators arrested him when they could find him after the investigation concluded.
A magistrate set Gandarilla’s bail at $2 million. He was set for a Thursday court appearance.
