Police have released the name of a young woman whose body was found Tuesday afternoon submerged in a pond in the Amberly subdivision in West Cary.
Aliza Wanda Webb, 19, was found in a pond near Brookhill Way and Yates Store Road, according to Cary police Capt. Randall Rhyne. Webb lived on Northlands Drive, not far from the pond.
Rhyne said the cause of Webb’s death had not been determined, but there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The body has been transferred to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for further evaluation.
