Durham man, 24, faces cocaine, gun charges after latest arrest

A 24-year-old Durham man’s arrest by Durham County sheriff's deputies this week on drug and gun charges added a fourth date to his court calendar.

Dwight Allan Judd Jr. of 322 Junction St. in Durham was arrested Wednesday afternoon by deputies in the Anti-Crime and Narcotics Unit, the sheriff’s office said.

They charged Judd with having crack cocaine and a stolen .308-caliber rifle, and said they also found Percocet and oxycodone pills during a search at the house, sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Paul Sherwin said.

Dwight was freed on $100,000 bond after being booked and is due in Durham District Court on June 3 on charges of felony cocaine possession, felony possession of a stolen firearm, misdemeanor marijuana possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judd also has court dates on May 20 on an assault charge, May 28 on a different cocaine-possession charge and June 25 for a speeding ticket and not having his license.

Sheriff Mike Andrews said Wednesday were the 15t time Judd had been arrested since turning 16.
