Two men died Sunday after being fatally wounded during two shootings in North Raleigh, one in the evening at an apartment near Lake Lynn and the other in a predawn incident at a popular park.
About 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Raleigh police responded to a reported shooting at Dominion on Lake Lynn, an apartment complex at 1300 Lake Front Drive, and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a police news release. The victim, who police think was 25, was taken to WakeMed, where he died.
As of late Sunday, police had not released the victim's name nor other information about the incident. They asked anyone with information to call the department's Detective Division at 890-3555.
Sixteen hours earlier, a Clayton man and his wife were found shot in a section of Millbrook Exchange Park, off Spring Forest Road.

Monique Berkley, 26, dialed 911 on a cellular phone a few minutes before 3 a.m. Sunday and directed police to herself and her husband, Paul Berkley, 46, Raleigh Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said. The couple were found on a trail that runs off an access road.
Paul Berkley had been shot in the head; Monique Berkley had been shot in the shoulder.
Paul Berkley was taken to WakeMed, where he died Sunday evening. His wife was being treated at WakeMed Raleigh Campus and is expected to survive, Sughrue said.
Police said the shooting was not a random or a chance event but offered no other details.
The park, which draws joggers, dog walkers and softball players year-round, was cordoned off Sunday with crime scene tape. Just before 11 a.m., a tow truck hauled a dark-colored Chevrolet Prism away from the park. Police said the vehicle is related to the incident.
The Berkleys live in a house in a middle-class neighborhood in Clayton. Several neighbors reached Sunday did not know the couple.
