Police a man who tried, and failed, to rob a Bank of America on Crabtree Boulevard last week has been arrested.
Philip Tameen Janvier, 34, was arrested by a Wake County sheriff’s deputy on Wednesday and charged with attempted common law robbery.
Police say Janvier walked into the Bank of America at 2499 Crabtree Boulevard, just off Capital Boulevard, at about 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 21 and handed a note to a teller. Police initially said he fled on foot after the teller complied with the note’s demands, but later said he left empty-handed.
Janvier was caught in part due to surveillance photos taken of him at the bank.
