Police are looking for 26-year-old Spenser Wall on charges stemming from a shooting and robbery last week and four other armed robberies, the department said Tuesday.
Wall, whose nickname is “Zo,” is charged with assault with intent to kill and robbery with a dangerous weapon for an incident in which a 47-year-old man was shot in the chest and robbed in the 2100 block of Avondale Drive in the early morning of Oct. 6, police said.
Officers found the man after being sent to a report of a shooting. He is recovering, police said.
Wall also is charged with armed robbery for incidents July 22 on Liberty Street, July 24 on Calvin Street, July 27 on North Guthrie Street and Oct. 1 on East Main Street, according to a statement.
Police said Wall’s last known address was in the 1200 block of Truman Street.
The day after the shooting, police arrested 42-year-old Jameka Lavette Mayo of Durham on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit that crime and felony conspiracy. She is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Wall is also listed by state authorities as a probation absconder. He had been placed on probation in December 2014 after being convicted in Durham of speeding to elude arrest the previous January.
If anyone has information that can help officers find Wall, police asked them to call Cpl. J. Brigante at 919560-4281, ext. 29118, or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
