Police brought a 31-year-old man from Virginia to Raleigh on Thursday afternoon to face a murder charge in the October 2013 death of a 6-month-old boy.
Jorge Jovany Acevedo of 6115 Oak Grove Drive in Fredericksburg, Va., was arrested there late last week by Spotsylvania County sheriff’s officers and U.S. deputy marshals, Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
Acevedo is charged in the death of a 6-month-old boy he was caring for on Oct. 3, 2013, in a mobile home park at 3000 Stony Brook Drive.
The infant was found with head injuries and died the following day, Sughrue said.
