A Cary man was scheduled for a court appearance Monday in the wake of his arrest by town police on charges of having child-pornography videos on his computer.
Christopher Anthony Farinella, 27, was arrested at his 102 Oak Hill Loop home on Friday morning.
Arrest warrants charged Farinella with 12 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and he was held over the weekend in lieu of $500,000 bail.
In the warrants, Cary detectives alleged Farinella had the video files, most involving preteen girls, between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4.
The charge of second-degree exploitation usually involves downloading or uploading computer files.
