Two groups of people apparently had bad aim when they began shooting at each other from cars on West Morgan Street on Sunday afternoon, and police said the rounds appeared to have damaged only objects and not individuals.
The incident happened a little before 1 p.m. near the intersection of West Morgan and Foster Street, a police spokeswoman said Monday.
Police know one car was a Pontiac because its occupants left it and ran, she said.
The Pontiac had holes where it had been hit by bullets, police said.
There was no information on the other car.
Police had not received any reports of anyone seeking treatment for a gunshot wound, so it appeared no one was hit in either car.
