A man found shot in the arm on St. Augustine Avenue this week has died of his injuries, police said Thursday night, and their investigation into who did it is now a homicide case.
Alomaun Najye Dunn, 24, of 207 Johnson St. in Garner was found at the intersection of Boyer Street late Tuesday afternoon after police got a report that there had been a shooting.
Police said at the time that the wound was serious.
They disclosed Dunn’s name a day later, but did not state his condition.
Dunn had been arrested last year and in 2013 on a felony marijuana charges and in 2014 on a charge of conspiring to sell cocaine.
He was convicted in 2015 on cocaine charges. The marijuana charges do not appear on his prison record.
