Police are looking for help identifying a man caught on camera in a burglary and said Wednesday that they suspect a connection with other commercial break-ins.
Detectives have video of the man inside JewelRecycle, a business that sells custom costume jewelry at 1259 Kildaire Farm Road, on Feb. 15.
A burglar alarm alerted police, town spokeswoman Deanna Boone said, but the man was gone before cars arrived.
The time stamp on the video shows that the suspect was in the store about 4:30 a.m. He’s described as a white man standing about 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds and wearing a mask, a dark jacket and a backpack and carrying tools.

Capt. Randall Rhyne, who heads the police detective division, said other commercial burglaries in the past month could be related.
At the jewelry store, the burglar went in through the store’s front door, police said. He left with a box of merchandise, and it was not clear how he got out.
Police asked anyone with information about the man or the thefts to call them at 919-469-4012 or file a report anonymously with Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-460-4636.
