Two men were charged with breaking into a Clover Hill Place home in Durham County after a sheriff's department dog tracked one of them from the scene, officials said Wednesday.
Kenjuan Marquae Poole, 33, of 3601 Turquoise Drive, and Thorne Denicholas Rogers, 29, of 3010 Ruth St., both in Durham, were charged Tuesday afternoon with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and damaging property, Capt. Donald Baker, a sheriff’s office spokesman, said.
Deputies also recovered about $14,000 worth of jewelry, credit cards and other items in a pillow case taken from a bedroom in the house, Baker said.
Rogers was released after posting $10,000 bail and Poole after posting $7,500 bail, records showed.
