Raleigh man charged with raping 16-year-old on Wake Tech’s north campus

Wake Technical Community College police have charged an 18-year-old man with the rape of a 16-year-old girl on the north campus in Raleigh.

Randy Bladermer Chavez-Argueta of Kravkaz Street has been charged with one felony count of second-degree forcible rape, according to an arrest warrant filed at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.

The victim lives in Wake Forest, according to the arrest warrant.

Wake Tech spokeswoman Michelle Fauver would not disclose if Chavez-Argueta or the girl are enrolled at the school.

Investigators say the incident happened March 3, between 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., in parking lot “G” of the campus at 6600 Louisburg Road, according to a campus police incident report. A Raleigh police officer arrested Chavez-Argueta late Friday morning at his home, according to the report.

The officer transported Chavez-Argueta to the Wake County jail, where he remained Friday evening in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to the arrest warrant.
