Raleigh pair charged with trafficking marijuana, LSD

A man and woman were accused of trafficking in marijuana and LSD, and a man was charged with trafficking in cocaine in a series of drug arrests Wednesday and Thursday by Raleigh police.

Carolyn Jennifer White, 29, and Jason Lloyd Pendleton, 34, were arrested in their apartment at 504 Tartan Circle a little before 2:30 a.m. Thursday, records show.

In arrest warrants, investigators charged they had about 13.8 pounds (6,272 grams) of marijuana that they were processing it to extract hashish oil and 1,800 doses of LSD.

About 8 p.m. Wednesday, police stopped Albert Deshawn Dent, 29, at Green and New Hope roads on charges of trafficking cocaine by having between 28 and 200 grams of it at his apartment at 1300 Steinbeck Drive.

Police arrested a half-dozen other people Wednesday night and early Thursday on felony charges of possessing marijuana or cocaine with the intent to sell it.

Dent also was charged with felony marijuana possession for what police said was 77 grams of the drug and two counts of gun possession by a felon – a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol and a .357 Magnum revolver.

Dent pleaded guilty in Durham County in 2012 to selling drugs on the state’s Schedule II list, which includes cocaine, investigators said in an arrest warrant.

White was charged on Feb. 23, 2013, with marijuana trafficking, possession of cocaine and other drug charges, Wake County arrest records show.

Pendleton had been arrested Feb. 9, 2013, on the same charges as White.

White was being held Thursday in lieu of $300,000 bail, Pendleton in lieu of $600,000 bail and Dent in lieu of $100,000. All were scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday.
