Police raided a Beverly Drive house to which gunshots had brought officers three times last year and seized beer and liquor and arrested a woman they charged was running a bar there, court documents disclosed.

Police hit the single-family, one-story house at 928 Beverly Drive about 11 p.m. Saturday, entering with a search warrant that said they suspected illegal drug and liquor sales were going on, according to the search warrant returned Tuesday to the Wake County court clerk’s office.

Officers were dispatched to the area in March, June and November on calls that involved shots being fired. An officer who responded to the November call said cars sped out of the neighborhood and people on foot ran when he got out of his car, Detective N.D. Braswell said when he asked for the search warrant.

He also wrote that an informant had gone into the house carrying money from police and returned after buying a bottle of beer and marijuana.

Police seized 84 beer bottles and cans and 18 bottles of liquor along with marijuana paraphernalia, Braswell said.

Police also arrested Erika Aziza Cassady, 36, who lives at the house and charged her with having and selling alcohol without a permit, maintaining a dwelling place for the sale and use of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cassady also was charged with not having a city license to run a business. She is due in court May 12.
