A Sanford man was held on $2 million bail Thursday night after Raleigh narcotics detectives charged him with trafficking in heroin by delivering about 4.4 ounces of the drug to a police informant.
Police stopped Uvaldo Felipe Lopez-Resendez, 25, at Falls of Neuse Road and Bland Street, records showed.
He was charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin, one for what police said was having 125 grams and one for aledging delivering it. He also was charged with conspiring with two other people.
Lopez-Resendez was arrested about 9:40 p.m. records show the charges stem from activity on Wednesday.
He was scheduled to make a first appearance in court Friday.
