Police on Friday made an arrest in a fatal shooting of a man in Southeast Raleigh earlier in the week.
Police charged Jamar Marcell Carraway, 28, of Lanier Club Drive, Raleigh, with felony murder of Marcus Trevon Howard. Carraway is being held at the Wake County jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Police had previously said that Howard, 24, was found shot Monday night at the intersection of Paint Rock and Barren lanes. Howard, who lived a few blocks from the scene, died at WakeMed Raleigh hospital.
Officers were sent to the intersection about 8:30 p.m. after 911 operators got a call that there had been a shooting.
