1-year-old girl wounded in Chapel Hill shooting

A 1-year-old girl is in critical condition after a shooting at a complex, according to police.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 751 Trinity Court about 5:40 p.m. on Friday. According to a release, officers learned that shots were fired from a vehicle leaving the complex. The girl, who was transported to UNC Hospitals and underwent surgery overnight, remained in critical condition Saturday.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 919-942-7515. Calls to CrimeStoppers are confidential and anonymous, and callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
