Police were searching Tuesday for a man who implied he had a gun and made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Wells Fargo bank branch at 1701 N. Harrison Ave., officials said.
The stickup happened about 11:45 a.m., police said.
They were seeking a white man who they said wore a black jacket, a dark hat and sunglasses.
No one saw the man get into a car, police said, and officers were circulating in the area around the bank.
The bank is at the corner of North Harrison Avenue and Weston Parkway, where numerous restaurants generate busy midday traffic, and across North Harrison Avenue from the sprawling SAS Institute campus.
