DURHAM The second of two cousins indicted on murder charges in connection with a Dec. 1 killing surrendered Monday, officials said.
A grand jury indicted Earic Gersham Wiggins, 25, of Durham on Jan. 4 along with Christopher Emmanuel Wiggins, 20.
Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said Earic Wiggins went to the Durham County Detention Facility to surrender.
Police had sworn out arrest warrants accusing the cousins of shooting 29-year-old Shawn Cade-Oree to death on Concord Street.
Cade-Oree was found shot just before midnight on Dec. 1 after officers were sent to the 2200 block of Concord because shots had been heard.
He died at a hospital.
Christopher Wiggins was arrested Jan. 7 in the parking lot of a hotel on N.C. 55. A grand jury had indicted him on charges of murder, firearm possession by a felon and conspiracy to commit murder.
Police who arrested him also charged him with carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
Eric Wiggins was indicted for conspiracy along with the murder count.
Both men were being held without bail.
