Police on Wednesday named a 53-year-old man as a suspect they are seeking in the flare-gun shooting of another man in a restaurant on Tuesday.
An arrest warrant charged Todd Newland Pope with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
Tuesday morning, police said, a man was shot in the face with what police said appeared to be a flare gun.
It happened in a bathroom at a Panera Bread restaurant on Witherspoon Boulevard, they said.
