A 16-year-old was being held on $1 million bail Thursday after police charged that he shot a man at a Cricket Ridge Drive home last week in an attempted robbery of drugs and cash.

Jeremiah Ju-Juan Green, of 1523 Tom Gipson Drive, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and attempted robbery with a deadly weapon in the incident that happened in the afternoon of Feb. 12.

Detectives swore out an arrest warrant for Green on Wednesday and brought him to their headquarters for questioning.

Terrance Mack was wounded in the leg by a gunshot that police said Green fired. The wound was not life-threatening, police said.

Green was trying to take about $2,000 worth of money and drugs at the time, the arrest warrant charged.

Police also charged Green with missing a court appearance on a felony marijuana possession charge on which he was arrested Jan. 15.

A magistrate noted in setting the high bail that Green was free on $3,000 bail from the marijuana charge and $1,000 from a charge of carrying a concealed weapon last Oct. 20.
