Raleigh police charge second man in double-homicide

Police have charged a second man in connection with a double homicide in a parking lot off Glenwood Avenue last week.

Daekwon Javon Ragland, 20, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, police announced Thursday. Ragland is accused of killing Pedro Joel Reyes Diaz, 25, of Raleigh, and Allan Uriel Rodriguez, 25, of Wendell.

The two men were found shot to death in an SUV about 12:30 a.m. last Thursday in the parking lot of a Panera Bread in the 6200 block of Glenwood Avenue, across from Pleasant Valley Promenade.

On Tuesday, police announced that they had charged Denzel Rashad Dancy with the murders. Dancy, 18, remains at large.

Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the killings.
