A North Raleigh man was arrested near his townhouse Wednesday afternoon on charges that he had 1.6 kilograms of marijuana, used the townhouse to store drugs and had a child there at the same time.

Detectives arrested Luke Vincent Linebarger, 33, at Louisburg and Perry Creek roads, a few blocks from his 7809 River Field Drive home.

An arrest warrant accused Linebarger, a real estate agent, of having slightly more than 3.5 pounds of marijuana with the intent to sell or distribute it, maintaining the townhouse as a place for people to use drugs, conspiring with unnamed people to deliver marijuana and misdemeanor child abuse because someone under 16 lives in the house.

The warrant charged that Linebarger stored marijuana at the townhouse and had “several pounds of marijuana delivered to the home.”

A magistrate set Linebarger’s bail at $100,000 and ordered him to have no contact with the child listed in the abuse charge.
