One man has been arrested on an attempted-murder charge, and Chapel Hill police said Tuesday they are seeking a second suspect in an April 25 incident in which shots were fired into a Forsyth Drive house.

Rashmi Dimitris Ingram, 23, of 2507 S. Roxboro St. in Durham was in custody, police said in a statement.

They said they had taken out an arrest warrant charging Keiland Jamal Harris, 25, of Chapel Hill in the same case.

Both men are charged with attempted first-degree murder and felony conspiracy, police said. Ingram is also accused of gun possession by a felon.

Police arrested Ingram at a small house in Efland on Monday, an arrest report shows. He was being held in the Orange County Jail on $750,000 bail.

Police got a shots-fired call about 3:15 a.m. from the 100 block of Forsyth Drive on April 25, they said. One person in the house had been hit and was taken to UNC Hospitals, they said.

Police asked people with information that might help detectives locate Harris to call Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515. Callers with information that leads to arrests may be eligible for rewards up to $2,000 and can remain anonymous.
