A man wounded in a double shooting on Ashe Street last month has been arrested on a charge of murdering the other person involved, police said Thursday.
Ladaren Deshawn Parker, 20, of Durham was taken into custody after he was released from a hospital, spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
J’Corey Terrell Bailey, 27, was dead when officers found him in a yard at 2805 Ashe St. on April 25, they said.
Parker, who was not identified at the time, was the man who police said had arrived at a hospital with a serious gunshot wound, Michael said.

Investigators said at the time that they did not think Bailey’s slaying was a random shooting, and they confirmed Thursday that the men knew each other.
They have not disclosed what they think sparked the gunfight.
