A woman who was arrested Friday for missing a court date on a traffic charge also found herself jailed on a 14-year-old charge from Apex police of cheating someone out of $650.
Police went to the house where Ana Esther Acosta, 53, lives at 3505 Crittenden Lane because a judge had issued an arrest warrant for her failure to appear in court on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
A computer check found she also was named in an arrest warrant that Apex police had obtained on June 12, 2002. It charged that on June 22 that year, Acosta got $650 from a Reynalda Juarez “with the intent to cheat or defraud.”
The hand-written warrant does not explain what was involved.
