Uber rides have made it onto the list of things purchased with stolen financial information.
Police charged Tuesday that Jacobie Admere Williams, 17, of 4625 Ravi Road in Raleigh used another person's debit card information to spend $550 on rides from Uber drivers.
Officers arrested Williams at Millbrook High School, where school officials said he is a senior, and charged him with obtaining property by false pretenses.
An arrest warrant alleged that he used information from another man’s debit card to charge rides provided by drivers working for Uber Technologies Inc. between April 26 and May 27.
