Police on Tuesday night arrested a man whom Cary police had been seeking for almost two years ago on a charge that he raped a child early in this decade.
Alejandro Samano-Sanchez, 34, was arrested at Bland Road and Steinbeck Drive at about 8 p.m. on charges contained in an arrest warrant that Cary detectives obtained on June 23, 2014.
The arrest warrant charged that between Feb. 28, 2010, and Feb. 20, 2011, Samano-Sanchez committee first-degree rape against a child who was 12 years old.
It also alleged that he took indecent liberties with the same child and committed first-degree sex offense with a child.
