Raleigh suspect in toddler’s death turns himself in

A suspect in the death of a 2-year-old in northeast Raleigh almost two months ago has been arrested, police said late Thursday night.

William Lee Bell, 22, turned himself in at the Wake County Detention Center, police stated in a news release.

Bell is charged with murder in connection with the death of Chase Jordan Eaddy, 2, on May 19 at a home on Somerset Mill Lane, off Fox Road, where Bell resided.

That day, a woman called 911 to report the child had no pulse. “It’s like he just passed out,” said the caller, who was not identified.

The toddler was transported for medical treatment, but later died, according to police records.
