Two Alamance County men were arrested Thursday evening by Wake County sheriff's deputies who charged the pair were trafficking in cocaine.
Jose Floriberto Perez-Gomez, 24, and Ismael Lagunas Lopez, 29, were at a strip shopping center at 421 Chapanoke Road in Raleigh when deputies arrested them about 7 p.m. Thursday, according to arrest records.
Both men were listed as living in Burlington, and they told officials they work for a construction company.
Arrest warrants cited the men as having between 28 and 200 grams of cocaine, a range of weights specified for one level of the trafficking felony. Officials did not disclose the exact amount.

They also were charged with conspiring with each other to traffic in cocaine.
Lopez was also charged with felony cocaine possession, which applies to any quantity of cocaine.
U.S. Immigration Control and Enforcement officials issued a request for Lopez to be held for 48 hours because of questions about his immigration status. A form making the request said Lopez had made comments that indicated he may not have permission to be in the U.S.
Bail was set at $500,000 for Lopez and $510,000 for Perez-Gomez because he also is wanted for missing a previous court date on an unrelated charge.
Both men were due to appear before a judge Friday.
